Fractured Cliché #19

Today’s Fractured Clichés are dedicated to Leap Day – an auspicious occasion that only occurs once every four years.

Fractured Cliché: Take a running leap

Correct Cliché: Take a flying leap

Fractured Cliché: Take a leap of fate

Correct Cliché: Take a leap of faith

Fracturing the first pair doesn’t make much difference because they sound like they have the same meaning. However, there’s a big difference between leap of fate and faith. But it probably doesn’t matter anyway because I only make this mistake once every four years.

May the farce be with you!

Your IFF,

Pam

Everyday is Leap Day at my house
